IN MARCH OF 2021, THE MI GOP INTRODUCED
39 VOTER SUPPRESSION BILLS

Republicans who peddled the “Big Lie” disputing the 2020 election results are now taking their desperate effort to the next level: pushing voter suppression legislation in battleground states. Michigan Senate Republicans introduced unnecessary bills that would reduce access to voting, intimidate voters, limit the Secretary of State’s authority, and inject partisan politics into election administration.

THESE 5 REPUBLICANS

Simply put, the Big Lie is that voter fraud helped President Biden win. Even though countless courts, commissions, committees, and clerks – including Republicans – have all concluded the election was not stolen, the NPR/Ipsos poll shows two-thirds of Republicans and just over one-third of all voters still cling to the false claims that voter fraud took place and that Biden’s win was not legitimate.

When a violent mob stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the goal was to overturn the results of the 2020 Presidential Election and install Donald Trump to a second term. This event was fueled by the Big Lie.
